Inspiration book for rapid cycling routes

There are currently over 25 rapid cycling routes in the Netherlands, with plans for an additional 600 km. The knowledge and experience gained so far has been compiled into a new CROW publication: Inspiration book for rapid cycling routes.

A new Dutch web tool for clarifying the costs and benefits of bicycle projects

A new cycle bridge or new bike parking facilities: what are the costs and benefits? A new Dutch web tool, ‘MKBA Fiets’, is now available to support such calculations. The tool allows the user to quantify the social costs and benefits of bicycle projects and thus, for instance, to compare these investments with investments in other modes of transport.

ThinkBike in Tel Aviv, Israel

On 19 and 20 March the Dutch Cycling Embassy were in Tel Aviv for a ThinkBike workshop. The cycling policy has led to a considerable increase in the number of cyclists in the city form 2 % before the plan and 17% up til now.
