Special website for reporting slippery bike paths

Winter slipperiness is an important reason for single bicycle accidents. In order to better combat slippery conditions on bike paths, Fietsberaad has had the website [slipperybikepaths] developed. Zaanstad is the first city to take advantage the website.

Cyclists can indicate slippery spots on maps displayed on the website. Additionally, they can indicate whether they fell as a result of winter slipperiness. The municipality can use this information to respond quickly and adequately to hindrances encountered by cyclists. The website can inform cyclists about snow plowing routes and the municipality can provide up to date feedback via Twitter about ice control and how bottlenecks are being addressed. Thanks to this, cyclists know better what to expect on the various bike paths and they can plan their route accordingly.

So does the site only work for Rotterdam right now?  And how can you actually place a new tikker on the map?

In this demo-version, de map centrates to Rotterdam, but if your computer knows your location, it centrates to that location. You can place a tikker just by clicking in the map.

Ah!  OK.  I have to say, it's a little bit confusing as is, you might want to explain that it's possible to place a prikker just by clicking on the map...
