High profile the Netherlands at Velo-city 2010

The phenomenon Velo-City has been in existence 30 years this year. From humble beginnings as a European platform, it has grown into a worldwide event with visitors from all parts of the globe. As of this year the conference will therefore be called Velo-City Global. Participants include mayors, town planners, cycling experts, consultants, decision makers and interest groups. The slogan is ‘Different gears - same destination’: everyone has a different background, faces different challenges and comes from different parts of the world, but all have the same goal.
The Netherlands will have a high profile there. Almost twenty organisations will represent the country on the accompanying exposition. In a large pavilion consultants, authorities, centres of expertise( for example Fietsberaad) and commercial parties will demonstrate what they have on offer in the fields of cycling, bicycle facilities, road design, traffic safety, bicycle parking facilities and so on.

Ook Mobycon is op Velo-city vertegenwoordigd. Op 22 juni nemen we deel aan de roundtables. Johan Diepens geeft een presentatie over 'Electric bicycles - hook on to the trend!' en Angela van der Kloof over 'Prestige Cycling (het nieuwe fietsen) in Zwolle increasing cycling in a top level cycle-city'. We zien u daar graag!
