Bicycle use among the elderly is quite remarkably high, even at an advanced age.  Cycling as long as possible  demonstrates that the desire to cycle is great among the elderly - although there are specific limitations. Demographic trends may affect bicycle use. Recently an analysis has been made concerning the increase in the number of elderly people and its consequences for bicycle use: Prognoses elderly and bicycle use (Prognoses ouderen en fietsgebruik).
