From 1st of September 2011 the Dutch Cycling Embassy will be the channel for the international relations of Fietsberaad.

Invite Dutch experts

The Dutch Cycling Embassy can also call upon a group of Dutch cycling experts. These are our ‘bicycle ambassadors’ who are prepared to visit your city and to discuss your local cycling policies and its integration in wider transport policies.

This could be in a personal consultation, or perhaps with a presentation at a conference or seminar. For these experts a fee is required, in addition to travelling expenses and accommodation. Upon request (and provided there is a budget) the Dutch Cycling Embassy may also organise dedicated two-day so called ‘ThinkBike’ workshops. There you are provided the opportunity to get your cycling policy off to a flying start or continuation, in the company of a group of civil servants and active cycling lobbyists.
The first of these ThinkBike workshops have been organised in Toronto, Chicago, Miami and New York. And these are also well suited to other cities and countries, even if cycling policy is still in its infancy.
